Most States allow people to get a driver's license at the age of 16 some people feel that 16 is much to young for the responsibility that comes with driving a car and that teenagers should not be allowed to drive until the age of 18. In your opinion, at what age whould people be allowed to drive and why?

Should teenagers have to wait until their 18 to drive? Does the age between 16 to 18 really make a difference or actually determine somone's maturity? both of those questions are asked to states that allow teenagers at the age of 16 to get their license. i truly believe that some people deserve to wait until the appropriate age, while others deserve to have their license at the age of 16. i believe this because, some teenagers may think it's alright to drink whie driving, they might think it's cool to text while driving, and other teenagers at 16 are mature and know how to follow the rules of the road.

Now a days over 60% of teenagers around the world are involved in an accident or have died over drinking while driving. In this case it is felt that teenagers over the age of 16 to 20 shouldn't start with their license at the age of 16yrs old. Rebecca Johnson a student at Hambolt University was invited to a party with friends, without as secong thought Rebecca took the invitation and went to the party. While at the party her friends had more drinks then usual and were about to drive themselves back home. Noticing that the driver of the car was drunk she turned down the ride home and warned them that they shouldn't drive in that condition. They refused to listen to her and presisted anyway. The next morning it was on the news that 4 teens had been injuried in a car accident and that 1 of the 4 teens had died at the seen. Just to look at the tragic event that happen Rebecca was thanful that it wasnt her own life.

Moreover, I feel that teenagers should wait until an appropriate and mature way because, teenagers all over the world are still stuck to the ability of their phones. Even I as a teenager am still stuck on my phone 24/7, even though however I know when to put it down. Not so many are like me which is why I feel that some teens should wait because they believe it's okay to text and drive. I was watching an show called "Meet the Browns" and in that showed it was a story about a girl who was texting her best friend, while he was driving about the color theme of a party. Without thinking about the consequences of the road the boy texted her back and got into a car accident and died at the hospital. When the girl found out she blamed herself for the death of her best friend. The moral of the story was just that you shouldn't text while driving because it has dangerous consequences.

Finally with all the examples to why teenagers shouldn't have a license at age16, here is a reason on why they should, I feel that some teeangers are mature enough to get a license at 16 is because some teenagers know how to follow the law and what happens on the road. 16 year old Lundun Love at City honors High School, practice for her drivers license since she was 15years of age. She pasted all her tests and got her permit. Now Lundun has entered her 16 year and is waiting on her license to come into the mail. From the performance I viewed seeing Lundun's maturity and driving skills, she is a very good example on why teenagers mature enough should get their license at 16 years of age.

I can't say that all teeangers deserve their license at 16 but the mature enough ones do. I think that if all of us were to mature at an early age their wouldn't be so much judging of us teens as it is now and we be able to pass through life without any regrets. However since I can't be ever teen in the whole entire world, I'll use my abiliy to the fullest to try to influence the teens that need to be more mature. The examples I have provided, that some teenagers may think it's alright to drink while driving, others may think it's cool to text and drive, and the very few teens at 16 are mature and know how to follow the rulse of the world, should give people reasons to why they should and shouldn't judge teenagers on driving. These examples could happen to anyone, but just the fact that it is a bigger percentage in teens makes us look more known to doing it. So to the teeangers out in the world mature yourselves before you step foot on the road, and the ones that already have should continue to, to influence the ones that haven't.
